Happy Sunday to you all.
Look what I stumbled on…an article about the 21st-century couple.

She wrote a short thread 👇
I really don’t want to deviate from this thread but in my opinion, I think the 21st-century woman has it harder.
I mean she is expected to now bring something to the table financially and still be the sole caregiver at the home front.
The bar keeps getting raised for the modern woman and such is not the case for the 21st-century man.
In Nigeria, being a stay-at-home mom is generally perceived as being a liability. You hear a lot of people say “How can you not have something doing as a woman, do you want to be a liability to a man”.
Domestic work is not regarded as work, which makes it somehow more befitting for the woman to take up work that is not really work and still do”real” work.
The 21st-century man really needs to step up to the plate and contribute significantly at the home front.
That being said, I can’t help but give it up for all the progressive men I know, who are saying a big NO to toxic masculinity and have embraced equality.👏
I am delighted to see confident young men in my generation who are doing away with societal norms that undermines the woman and all that she represents.
