Why am I still blogging?

Blogging can be therapeutic I must say; the relieve you feel telling untold stories inside of you and spinning out ideas and content you are so passionate about is indescribable.

Plus, the little doses of euphoria that envelopes you when you get notifications from people totally relating to your content on your blog is so satisfying. It’s truly a wonderful feeling having to connect with people from all over the world through your stories and thoughts.

On the flip side, it could be draining trying to keep up with dishing amazing content regularly. The frustration of attempting to start or finish a post when you can’t seem to find the right words is killing. The worst part is experiencing writers’ block; where you are just in a damn rut!

But, do you know the most messed up part? The part where you are not even getting any income from the whole hullabaloo but you still feel so worked up because you are not dishing awesome content on a weekly basis.

So, why am I still blogging?

“Birds sing not because they have answers but because they have songs”.

— African proverb

I am still blogging not because I have the answers but because I have something to say; and most importantly, because someone out there is still listening.

I am still blogging because the joy and satisfaction I derive in telling my truth, however I deem fit, far outweighs my frustration.

It doesn’t matter how frequently I post or how inconsistent I am. No matter how long it takes, I will still come home to my blog, my haven, and I sincerely hope it will never just be me around.

Let me hear from my fellow bloggers in the comment section; why are you still blogging?
