Life Lately (2)

A beautiful day starts with a beautiful mindset.

These past few weeks came in like a wrecking ball and no one saw it coming. When we thought it couldn’t get worse, the pandemic proved to us that rock bottom has a basement.

It’s been crazy as hell, anxiety, and panic levels have shot up to 100% leaving a dark cloud of uncertainty hanging over our heads.

The mandatory lockdown and temporary closure of businesses also came with its own difficulty to deal with. Personally, I think the world can never remain the same after this.

So, what have I been up to amidst this whole messy situation?

1. Obsessing Over Kick-boxing

I just discovered kick-boxing lurking in one of my decoder channels and I must say I totally love the sport! It’s energetic, freestyle, brutal, intense, and bloody. It gives me some sort of adrenaline rush.

2. Working From Home

Since schools are temporarily closed, some teachers have been asked to work from home. So, I teach online via WhatsApp four times a week for a maximum of 20 hours a week.

Planning my lessons, recording videos, and sourcing for relevant worksheets to teach during this pandemic has helped me take my mind of this whole messy situation a bit.

3. Creating Content

I have also been busy curating content for my blog. I want to make the most of the time I have on my hands to publish as many fun, informative and inspiring posts as possible.

4. Binge-Watching Netflix

I spend my nights watching movies and series (old & recent) alike. I love all genres except horror/scary movies because it gets me really pissed off when the girl is alone in the house but still goes down to the basement to check out the noise and ends up getting killed by the monster or whatever.

It’s either that or they start with someone driving down a lonely road into the woods with a stupid-ass map until they finally run out of gas… I will pass.

5. Family Bonding

This has kind of been the most fun part; eating, laughing, playing games, and gisting with family.

I am grateful for the love that surrounds me from the ones I love and hold dear.

So, there you have it, all that I have been up to lately. I would love to hear what you have been up to also in the comment section.❤

  1. Hi! I teach for VIPKid, too! I was actually searching for ideas on how to organize my teaching supplies, and your picture came up. I love those blue/green bins! Where did you buy them?

    1. Oops!
Hi Taylor, I don’t teach for VIPKid. I am not the original owner of the photo. I think I got the photo from Pinterest. I am afraid I can’t give you any information about where to purchase these items you inquired about.

Thank you so much for stopping by.🤗
