The Woman Behind The Blog
I never really got around to introducing myself to my readers. I just jumped straight to business with all my stories and chronicles.
So today I want to take a step back and do what I should have done earlier, introduce myself to you.
Hey! you are welcome to my blog and my name is Gloria.
I have no formal training in literature, and I think it shows in my writing.
I am actually a zoologist and part-time school teacher, but I love to write about various things here and there. And just like you, I am still figuring this thing called life.
I have had my fair share of struggles, failures, pain, and disappointments. It’s amazing how far I have come, from being a rebellious, angry, ready-to-fight little girl to this fabulous, happy woman I have become.
As a kid, I was this smart, very distracted kind of child. I struggled with my teachers, they were very quick to call me names and I was that kid to look them dead in the eye and reply right back. I was a stubborn kid but when it came to beatings I was a complete jelly.
Getting into my teen years, as usual, came with lots of boy problems. I wasn’t going to be stepped on or disrespected in the slightest manner as a seven-year-old, and I wasn’t going to take it as a seventeen-year-old.
I always felt greatly misunderstood, and it caused a lot of issues in my relationships because I wasn’t going to manage.
Going into adult hood came with issues of finding a career path, financial freedom and most importantly myself. Well, I am still on this one.
However, I have learned to move past a lot of the emotional baggage I had, to evolve into this lovely daughter, sweet sister, great aunt, amazing girlfriend, supportive friend, fun-to-be-with colleague, caring and sensitive school teacher to struggling kids.
It doesn’t matter what your story is, how it started, what issues you faced, or how slowly you evolved, as long as you don’t give up on your self.
Bye for now. XOXO
Don’t forget to introduce yourself to me too in the comment section.
I love you guys.💕
